Large Bronze Cocktail Ring With Lock Plate Impression

This large cocktail ring features an impression that details the fauna from a lock plate in house from the 1930's. It's a perfect match for the Wide Bronze Cuff that was inspired by the same lock plate. This piece was inspired by Muse Stagecoach Mary Fields (1832–1914) who was a trailblazing African American mail carrier in the Wild West. Known for her grit and resilience, she was the first Black woman to by employed as a star route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She gained her moniker from her preferred mode of transportation and was known for never missing a day - if the snow was too deep for the horses, she would deliver mail on foot with the heavy sacks on her shoulders.
